Add a blog to your site is a big decision, but it is something that all companies should consider. A regularly updated blog can give people a reason to visit your site more often, and also there will be benefits of SEO (search engine optimization) to maintain a blog.

Perhaps you were already thinking about opening a blog for your business, but are not sure that your work will be paid extra. Well, Here are the benefits that SEO will help you decide.

Much more content for the search engines

Many websites have a limited number of pages, with a limited number of words per page. Add a blog to create a regular means of “Rich Content”, which can include the keywords with which you are trying to index. Also, give more content to search engines to index your site, which means look for more keywords.
For every article you write in your blog, can you give to your site to appear for 10 new keywords. Some of these keywords, they can also be keyphrases with which you’re trying to index your site.
With this “keyword phrases” phrases of keywords (they are also called “long tail keywords”), it is easier to be indexed and appear high in results. This is because, as a keyword phrase is long, the less specific search so the search engines. In fact, usually, there is less competition in the first places to look for long tail keywords.
For example, a website that are articulated by the garden, could add a blog that offers advice on how to care for your garden.
Remember: Come for more indexed keywords, the greater the number of visitors that will open your site.

Updated content for search engines – and even for people

Search engines do not like that our websites are back. Having a blog encourages people to update their site more often.
When a new URL is added to your sitemap from a blog article, search engines have a reason to return to visit your site, index pages, and willing to adjust the ranking of your pages in SERP. If your content is there and throw four pages left to rot, and the site is never updated, search engines have no reason to revisit your site.
Update your blog frequently will also give people a reason to return often to see what’s new. Also gives you a reason to subscribe to your RSS feed. If you update your blog with information about your new products, surely you will make more sales.

The power of links

One of the key elements of SEO (search engine optimization) are the links – not just the links to your site, but also from your to that of others.
When you link to other Web sites, you show search engines that you’re trying to provide a good “user experience” for anyone who visits your site, sending it to other information that you consider useful and relevant to what we just read. Furthermore, since the links are the way in which search engines are aware of new Web pages, you are giving them a hand.
You can link important pages from the blog of the website. In doing so, signal to search engines which pages have information that you think your readers might find interesting. Of course, this will not make you reach the top positions in SERPs, but the pages linking to your site helps search engines to “see” the connections between your pages and other content.

Watch out for duplicate content

If there’s one thing that you should never do with your blog, copy content from the page of your website … or otherwise, of another website. Search engines try to avoid showing results in duplicate content. If your pages are classified as mere copies of other pages, this could cause a major downgrading in the SERP.
There are, however, of the time, which is useful for your users ripubliccare material to another website. This is called syndication. However you should always have permission from the author, and attribute the original source material, with a backlink. Pages with content that’s where you made the “syndication”, not as good as indexing and ranking pages where you’ve published and original content – you’re still offering a good user experience to your users. And this is never bad.
Finally, a blog is a great way to keep your website full of fresh content, up position in the SERP, and give people a reason to visit your site often. There is no law that forces you to update it frequently. Start with once a week and see how it will evolve.
